On April 22nd and 23rd, we hosted the first In-vitro 2D and 3D neuronal Networks Summit (MaxWell Biosystems User Meeting) and were very excited about the tremendously successful outcome, with over 700 registrants from 49 countries!

First Day: Scientific Talks and Discussions Open for All

The first day of the meeting was open to everybody. We had very interesting talks from seven invited speakers, who spoke about their work involving iPSC-derived neurons, brain organoids, and also high-density microelectrode array (HD-MEA) technology. The panel discussions were very engaging, with lots of questions from the audience and insights from the speakers on technologies and challenges of functional characterization of human iPSC-derived neurons and the current advancements in brain organoids and spheroid research. We are extremely happy to have hundreds of attendees tuning in and interacting throughout the two sessions of the day.

If you missed the talks, please do not worry, the replays are still available on this page.

Besides the interesting talks and panel discussions, we also organized fun interactive sections, including quizzes, and were thrilled that so many participated. It was a good opportunity to learn more about the interest and research field of the attendees, as well as their feedback on the event and on how they are feeling, thus making us seem closer to face-to-face events that we are missing so much right now. Congratulations to all the participants of the quiz and well done to the winners!

Thank you so much to everybody for sharing your feedback with us. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the first day of our User Meeting as much as we did!

I am writing you only to tell you that so far that was the best Zoom meeting I have attended since the pandemic forced us into Zoom life. Not only the quality of the talk was excellent but also the presenters were super engaging and the quiz time was a great idea, even if I did not win.

Second Day: MaxWell User Meeting

During the second day, exclusive to MaxWell users, the attendees participated in practical and technical sessions, including talks by invited Users, panel discussions about best practices in cell culture techniques on HD-MEA, in-depth discussion about neurotechnology and microelectrodes arrays, and MaxLab Live tips and tricks and a new assay showcase.

If you were not able join this part of the meeting because you are not yet a user or the schedule of the live sessions didn’t work out for you, we would be very glad to organize a one-to-one meeting with you to discuss your topic of interest, give you insights into all the possibilities offered by the MEA Technology and answer all the questions you might have. Just book a call with us below!

The success of this event was made possible thanks to the involvement of the entire MaxWell Team. Kudos to all the people involved! Here are some behind-the-scenes pictures.
