An Electrical Engineer by training, David became fascinated by the meeting point of neuroscience and technology early in his studies. That led him to pursue a PhD at the Bio Engineering Laboratory of ETH Zurich, where he worked on data analysis and techniques for combining HD-MEAs with patch clamp and microscopy. After graduating and a few years as a consultant, the pull of HD-MEA proved too strong, and David joined the MaxWell team in 2018. As Product Manager for MaxLab Live, he works alongside MaxWell Biosystems software and commercial teams to keep improving our products.
In this work, David is driven by building software users love and exploring how AI is reshaping the way we work. But what he enjoys most are the conversations and interactions with MaxWell users.
When he steps away from the screen, David enjoys playing chess, ice-bathing in Lake Zürich, and spending time with his family.
MaxLab Live 26.1 introduces novel neuronal and cardiac analysis capabilities to help researchers extract deeper insights from HD-MEA recordings. New readouts, parameter-free workflows, and tailored exports simplify analysis from acquisition to downstream comparison.
