Functional characterization is essential for assessing the maturation, connectivity, and activity dynamics of neuronal in-vitro models. As biological models such as iPSC-derived neuronal and cardiac cultures, organoids, and brain slices are complex, comprehensive functional analysis requires resolution, throughput, and reproducibility of results that go beyond the capabilities of traditional electrophysiological approaches.

This talk presents how next-generation high-density microelectrode array (HD-MEA) technology from MaxWell Biosystems enables detailed, reproducible measurements of neuronal network function with subcellular precision.
