As a Technical Application Specialist, you will support customers and partners in effectively using MaxWell Biosystems’ products by providing technical guidance and by troubleshooting issues. You will help shape the operations of our newly opened US Subsidiary in San Diego, including the establishment and continuous improvement of logistics workflows and procedures, in collaboration with our Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. You will develop deep expertise in our software, hardware, and microelectrode array applications to deliver impactful solutions. Beyond day-to-day technical support, you will also have the opportunity to engage directly with users—visiting their labs when needed to better understand their experimental needs and help them get the most out of our technology. As part of the NAM Commercial Team, you will play a vital role in driving customer success and contributing to a seamless, high-quality user experience and also contributing to logistics and internal operations.

Your Mission

  • Manage and track customer inquiries to ensure timely responses.
  • Deliver high-quality support for MaxWell Biosystems' customers, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Perform technical repair of electromechanical systems.
  • Manage tools (ERP and ticketing system) used by the support and logistics team.
  • Execute administrative and coordination tasks related to logistics operations (including activities related to event organization).
  • Provide logistics support by organizing stock, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Oversee and maintain computer systems used for product demonstrations (Linux proficiency required).
  • Continuously assess and improve support and logistics-related workflows.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in bioengineering, electrical engineering, or a related field Customer-focused, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage confidently with scientists and research teams.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Solid technical and computer skills; comfortable working with Linux and Python.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to support users directly, including occasional on-site visits.
  • Eagerness to develop, execute, and continuously improve internal processes.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with electrophysiology, neuronal cultures, or data analysis is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
